Hi all,

For those who attended our last night info meeting, we would like to say: Thank you for coming and we really appreciate it. The meeting was pretty successful. A lot of guests joined our meeting despite the fact that it was Chinese Valentine's Day last night :). 

For those who were not able to show up last night, we thank you for your interest and we are looking forward to meeting you soon.  

We will keep everyone posted of our future events/meetings.

Thank you very much for your interest in Nanjing Toastmasters. We have received a large amount of positive responses to our initiative so far, and are now confident that we can get this thing started in Nanjing!

To tell you all something more about Toastmasters, our progress so far and our plans for the future, we have decided to organize an information meeting on August 26 (Wednesday) from 7:15 pm to 8:45 pm at Kongzi Academy, who kindly offer their venue for this meeting.  (See attached map details. Also check location description at the end of this mail)  Here are the main activities we are going to cover at the meeting:

---Introduction of Nanjing Toastmasters;

---Introduction of Nanjing Toastmasters officers;

---Break-out Session (Guests to meet officers for more questions);

---Setting demo date and place;

---Final comments and questions.

We are currently trying to get a Toastmasters club organized in Nanjing. We already have a small but very active and are currently doing our best to get some more people interested. We have already set up a website at www.nanjingtoastmasters.com, and plan to get started with a demo meeting sometime in October.

IDEAL Announcement: Jason Chen elected VP Public Relations, Shanghai IDEAL Toastmasters Club‏

Dear all,

I am delighted to announce that IDEAL members elected Jason Chen as VP Public Relations, Shanghai IDEAL Toastmasters Club effective immediately. Jason succeeds Jack Guo, who has been elected as President, Shanghai IDEAL Toastmasters Club lately. In this position, Jason will work closely with other club officers and governors team of Area 63.

In this role, Jason will be responsible for driving IDEAL to achieve a distinguished and outstanding public image, which in turn provides the members more resources to improve their communication and leadership skills. Jason will lead the club?s Public Relations team to develop all public relations pieces, such as members? public exposure and recognition system, blog and social networking management, club events promotion, sister-clubs relationship maintenance, and etc.
